These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the My Family Alarm mobile application ("App") provided by My Family Alarm ("we", "us", or "our").
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Description of Service
My Family Alarm is a family alarm sharing application that allows:
- Creating and managing personal alarms
- Sharing alarms with family members
- Receiving notifications for alarms
- Managing alarm permissions within families
Account Requirements
To use the App, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old (or have parental consent)
- Have an Apple ID for Sign in with Apple
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your account secure
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Share your account with unauthorized users
- Attempt to bypass security measures
- Interfere with other users' experience
- Abuse the alarm system or notifications
Family Features
When using family features:
- Family creators can manage family settings
- Parents have control over child accounts
- Members can view shared alarm information
- You are responsible for invites you create
Intellectual Property
- The App and its content are owned by My Family Alarm
- You are granted a limited license to use the App
- You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App
- User-generated content (alarms, names) remains yours
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:
- Alarms will always fire on time
- The App will be error-free
- Service will be uninterrupted
- Data will never be lost
Important: My Family Alarm should not be relied upon as your sole alarm system for critical events. We recommend using redundant alarm methods for important wake-up calls.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Missed alarms or late wake-ups
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data or unauthorized access
- Service interruptions
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of others' rights
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Abuse the service
- Create risk or legal exposure
You may delete your account at any time through the App.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified through the App.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the AAA rules, except for small claims court matters.
Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and My Family Alarm regarding use of the App.
